No. Please note that classes are only valid at the studio for which they were purchased. Classes and gift certificates are not transferable between locations.

The Cookery Houston is located at: 901 Rhode Pl #300 Houston, TX 77019

We have parking spaces available directly in front of the studio entrance. There is also street parking available on Rhode Place. Please call us at  (713) 253-4168 if you have any trouble.

Yes!  We can make certain select menu items vegetarian if given prior notice. When you are signing up for a class, please indicate if vegetarian options are requested in the “Allergies & Special Occasions” box. Or contact us with any questions  (713) 253-4168.

Yes! The Cookery offers hands-on dinner party style cooking classes.  Unlike other cooking classes where you may only participate in making a few items, at The Cookery, our guests will gain knowledge, skills, and and confidence while actually prepping our 3 course meal.

Whatever makes you feel comfortable!  Everybody gets involved at The Cookery, so we suggest casual clothing and shoes.

Feel free to come as hungry as you like.  Each class consists of a three course meal, as well as a snack ready for you to eat when you arrive.

Just your love for food and your willingness to learn!  The Cookery provides everything you need.

We do offer wine, beer, and/or cocktail pairings throughout class. However, you are more than welcome to bring your own beverages to supplement what we provide. We do not charge a corking fee.

Yes! Please feel free to arrive about 10-15 minutes early to find parking and get situated.

Classes last around 3 hours, unless otherwise noted.

Yes!  Our chef instructors go over all the necessary basics in the beginning of every class, and then delve into  the specific cuisine of the evening.  Our classes are  entertaining and informative for all levels.  So beginners as well as more experienced cooks are welcome in all our classes.

We usually host 12-14 guests.  However, we can adjust the class size for special events and private classes.

While gratuity is never expected, it is always appreciated. Our staff can accept gratuity via cash or credit card.

WHEN DO YOU UPDATE THE CLASS CALENDAR?

We typically post our new classes one month in advance. For instance, by November 1, we will have all of December available (or earlier)

Take the worry out of wondering when new classes are posted by signing up for our emails to be notified when we update the calendar with the next month!

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Class tickets may be cancelled up to 72 HOURS (3 days) before class start time to receive class credit only. No refunds are issued and payment is final. Please see our full Cancellation Policy and details here.

HOW DO I BOOK A COUPLES CLASS?

Our classes are typically between 12-14 people and we welcome couples! If you wish to have a private cooking experience, visit Private Events page for more information and to inquire about rates. Tickets are per-person. For two people, you must purchase 2 tickets.

Yes, we do offer gift certificates for purchase.

Certificates will be delivered by e-mail with a customized message:

  • Within a few minutes, if the gift card is purchased for immediate delivery.
  • On the specified date, at roughly the same time the order is placed if the gift card was purchased for delivery at a future date.

While we love children, our classes are primarily for adults. However, we do not mind if children 13 years or older attend any of our publicly scheduled classes, as long as they are accompanied with a registered adult.
